Description: This error indicates a failure in the laser emission during the print process.
– Detection Condition: The machine detects the laser malfunction when the index signal from the K laser light is not detected within a predetermined period of time or if the index signal cannot be detected at regular intervals.
**Affected Components:**
– Laser diodes (LD/K, LD/C, LD/M, LD/Y)
– Index board (INDEXB)
– Index lens
– Index mirror
– Polygon motor (M14)
– MFP board
**Troubleshooting Procedure:**
1. Turn off the machine and wait for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
2. Check the connection of the following connectors:
Ā Ā – MFPB CN4E, CN11E
Ā Ā – INDEXB CN1
3. Measure the following voltages:
Ā Ā – MFPB CN30E-1 to 4: Approx. 5 VDC
Ā Ā – INDEXB CN1-1 to 4: Approx. 5 VDC
4. Check the resistance of the laser diodes:
Ā Ā – LD/K, LD/C, LD/M, LD/Y should be 2-10 Ī©.
5. If the issue persists, replace the following parts in order:
Ā Ā 1. Laser diode assembly
Ā Ā 2. Index board
Ā Ā 3. Polygon motor
Ā Ā 4. MFP board
